Discover Your Happy Place

Have you ever looked around you recently to see how miserable everyone looks? Have you smiled at someone and received a puzzled or dismissive facial expression?

Every day we witness people going through the monotony of daily life, expressionless, unhappy, stressed, in a hurry with no time for themselves – let alone others.

Sometimes I think we are like hamsters on a wheel in a cage – all that effort to get no further forward. Our so-called leaders keep us living in fear of change, conflict and uncertainty. The privileged few continue to thrive and prosper as the silent majority struggle to survive daily life.

As a result our lives are full of stress, anxiety, depression and despair as we can’t see a way out of the monotony of daily life.

However, it doesn’t need to be this way…

Imagine if we all got off the wheel, took a deep breath and had a good look around?  Would we see things differently? Would we realise there’s got to be a better way?

Too often it takes misfortune in life to get us to think differently about the importance of enjoying our time on this amazing planet. For many people this happens too late in life to make the change. This year in particular has been a salutary lesson in how precious and fragile life is.

If you’re struggling to find happiness and contentment then try this…

Take a moment to step outside of your daily routine. Go to your favourite place, somewhere you feel relaxed and at ease with life. Then ask yourself;

Why am I doing this? Is it what I really want? Am I happy? What’s my dream?

This will help you find a happier place in life and determine how you can spend more time there. It may be a challenging journey but it will be worth it in the end.

And finally, here’s a few great quotes to inspire you along your road to your happy place…
